The Flipside Records chain was founded in 1971 by owners Larry and Carl Rosenbaum. There were 12 stores in the Chicago area and 25 in the Midwest. Not only could you get the latest records and tapes there, but you also could get clothing, electronics, music related merchandise, and tickets for Chicago area concerts. Unfortunately, changes came in the music industry which caused this business to fold in 1992.
