Municipal Stadium was a baseball and football stadium located at the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and East 22nd Street in Kansas City. Municipal Stadium and its previously named counterparts were home to the minor league Kansas City Blues, the Negro League Kansas City Monarchs, and major league Athletics and Royals. The Kansas City Chiefs played there until 1971. The stadium was demolished in 1976. Fun Fact: Jackie Robinson played for the Kansas City Monarchs in 1945 until he signed with the Dodgers.
