The Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee, or Northshore Line, was an interurban railroad that served the Chicago metropolitan area and southeast Wisconsin. From 1916 to 1963, the North Shore Line provided electric freight and passenger service between the Chicago Loop and downtown Milwaukee. This once successful interurban railroad was known for its operating speeds and Electroliner service.
