Madison horror movie buffs old enough to remember the 1970s will likely recall "Lenny's Inferno," the Friday late-night program on Channel 15 that aired "B" monster movies and was hosted by the demented Mr. Mephisto. The show actually started in 1966 and was called "Ferdie's Inferno" (named after Ferd Mattioli, the original owner of "American TV" which sponsored the show). When Ferd's brother and Madison retail icon Lenny Mattioli took over the reins at American, the show switched to "Lenny's Inferno" and continued its long-run until 1982.
