Bygone Brand Sells The Past

Bygone Brand is a new apparel company with t-shirt designs based on old local companies. Started in March, 2013 by Keith & Amy Watson, the concept was to bring back nostalgic brands that many grew up with, but have long gone from the community. “There’s such a great history of everyday people, places and companies here that goes beyond Sock Monkeys & Screws.“ Keith says, “This is a way to remember and show local pride with a tee.”

The online store www.bygonebrand.com opened June 1, 2013 with an initial offering of 4 designs. The Ing, The Game Factory, Geri’s Hamburgers and Pink Pony. More shirts are already in the works, but Amy adds, “We want to be smart and grow slowly.” Besides selling t-shirts online, Bygone Brand will be at local venues like Edgebrook’s Artsy and are looking into select local retailers to partner with.

Whether you are from Rockford or another town, everyone has fond memories of certain places from their childhood. Bygone Brand is looking to engage the audience, see what they love and hopefully bring back a bit of the bygone past.
