The Alps Drive-In in Rockford served up hamburgers, hot dogs, barbeques, dairy treats and famous waffle fries. It was located on East State & Alpine for many years until they relocated to Charles St. in 1951. The Alps eventually closed their doors for good in the 1970’s.
