AMX was a two-seat GT-style muscle car that was made between 1968-1970 by American Motors (AMC). From 1971-1974, AMX became a premium high performance edition of the Javelin. After that, AMC revived the badging for performance-equipped Hornets, Concords and Spirits. AMX was named the “best engineered car of the year” in 1969 and 1970 from the Society of Automotive Engineers.
