The Cincinnati Stingers were a professional ice hockey team that competed in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1975 to 1979, playing their home games at Riverfront Coliseum. Known for their distinct yellow, black, and white uniforms, the Stingers quickly became one of the WHA’s more stable and competitive U.S.-based franchises. They reached the playoffs in three of their four seasons, highlighted by a strong run to the league semifinals in 1979.
