Club Peorian, originally known as Club Peorian Disco, opened in 1976 at 733 S.W. Adams Street in Peoria, Illinois. It quickly became one of Central Illinois’ best-known LGBTQ+ nightclubs, featuring dancing, entertainment, drag shows, and community events. The club was an important gathering place for Peoria’s LGBTQ+ community for nearly two decades. Club Peorian was tragically destroyed by arson in December 1994, ending an important chapter in Peoria nightlife history.
