Who knew that a baseball game promotion on July 12, 1979 would become infamous in the history books. On that day, Chicago DJ Steve Dahl was hired to lead Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey Park. With fans shouting, "Disco Sucks", a crate of disco records was blown up on the field. What no one expected was for the fans to rush that field and the day ended in a riot. This became one of the most extreme promotions in major league history.
