Fairyland Amusement Park was a theme park in Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo that opened in 1957. The park, described as a “Storybook Park for Children”, brought nursery rhyme and fairy tale characters to life. After walking across the rainbow bridge at the park entrance, children enjoyed games, rides, and a mini railroad. The characters were removed and auctioned off in 1999.
