The Flint Spirits were a professional minor-league hockey team that played in Flint, Michigan, from 1985 to 1990 in the International Hockey League. They played their home games at the IMA Sports Arena and were formed after the Flint Generals moved to Saginaw. The Spirits reached the Turner Cup Finals in 1988, led by future NHL star John Cullen. The team relocated to Fort Wayne in 1990 and became the Fort Wayne Komets, ending a memorable chapter in Flint hockey history.
