Kelbo’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Q was a beloved Los Angeles eatery that opened in 1947.  Known for its whimsical tiki décor, the restaurant featured glowing Lucite walls, fishing nets, and a ceiling adorned with resin floats, creating an immersive tropical atmosphere. The menu offered a mix of American and Polynesian-inspired dishes, with their signature "Hawaiian-style" ribs, yams, and beans being particular favorites. Kelbo’s became a popular hangout, especially among CBS Television City crew members in the 1950s and ’60s.
