"Energy Turns the World" was the motto for the 1982 Knoxville World's Fair,alsoknown as Knoxville International Energy Exposition. The 266-foot tall Sunsphere with a 5-story gold globe on top was the iconic structure from the fair and has become a symbol for all of Knoxville.
