Korrick’s Department Store was a cornerstone of downtown Phoenix retail from 1895 to 1966. The store began as a modest 25-foot dry goods shop called “The New York Store” and eventually moved into a grand six-story building in 1914. Known for its elegant merchandise, modern amenities, and community involvement, Korrick’s remained the last major department store in downtown Phoenix until its closure.
