Live Aid was a benefit concert held simultaneously in London and Philadelphia in 1985. It was organized by Bob Geldof to raise funds for the relief of famine in Ethiopia. The benefit started with the release of the charity single, "Do They Know it's Christmas?" in 1984. The concert raised more than $125 million in famine relief.
