Lums started out as a hot dog stand that Stuart and Clifford Perlman bought in 1956 in Miami Beach, Florida. This family restaurant chain expanded into various locations across several states. Lums was known for hot dogs steamed in beer, the Ollieburger, and their international beer selection. Milton Berle was once a spokesman for the company. Lums went out of business in 1983.
