Magna was a grocery store in Rockford that replaced the Jewel Grand Bazaar before it. When it opened, it proclaimed itself as the "supermarket of the future." One of their unique features was the bulk food department where patrons could scoop out the amount they wanted. It closed in 1997 and the building was finally demolished in 2020.
