The Minnesota Strikers were a popular professional soccer team that called the Twin Cities home from 1984 to 1988. After the NASL folded, the Strikers joined the Major Indoor Soccer League, bringing fast-paced indoor soccer to the Met Center. They reached the MISL championship series in 1986, giving Minnesota fans an exciting playoff run.
