The classic music club on North First Street in Laclede’s Landing opened in 1979 and, over the next 28 years, hosted some of the music industry's biggest acts including AC/DC, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, INXS and the Ramones. Known as a venue where fans both under and over age 21 could see the biggest acts, Mississippi Nights left a lasting impression on generations of St. Louisans before the stage went dark in 2007.
