Olympia Stadiumwas an indoor arena built in 1927. Affectionately called the “Big Red Barn”, the Olympia was most well known as the home of the Detroit Red Wings. However, it was also a major venue for boxing, basketball, rodeos, circuses, and political conventions. Sadly, this solid, well-built building was demolished in 1987.
