Prange Waystarted out as a discount shop in the basement of the flagship Prange's store in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It evolved into a discount department store chain. At its height, Prange Way had 20 locations in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The chain went into bankruptcy and all stores were closed after the Christmas season of 1995.
