For more than three decades, Madison’s Red Dot Foods made their famous potato chips at its landmark East Washington Avenue factory. Founded in 1938, the potato chip maker eventually became one of the largest snack food producers in the Midwest. While Red Dot closed its doors in 1973, the former factory building still stands today.
