The Rockford Cubbies were a Midwest League baseball team that played from 1995 to 1998 in Rockford, IL. There was huge excitement in town to have a Chicago Cubs farm team to cheer on at Marinelli Field. The Rockford Cubbies became the Rockford Reds for one season and then moved to become the Dayton Dragons. Did you know? The Rockford Cubbies' public address announcer, Lisa Fielding, was one of the few female PA announcers in baseball at that time.
