For 35 years, Sully's on Adams Street was the quintessential downtown bar. Various versions of Sully's played host to Peoria residents and Bradley students alike, who came for the cold beer, hot food and hanging with friends. Sully's was the brainchild of Mike Sullivan, a longtime Peoria tavern owner who for years could be found behind the bar, smoking and chatting up customers. Ed Pelz and Dave Snider bought Sullys from Mike and owned it for almost 25 yrs until selling it to Keith Weinstein. Sadly, Sullivan passed away in 2010 and his namesake bar didn't last much longer. It closed in December 2013 — leaving behind great memories of wild nights for a generation of Peorians.

Thank you for supporting my memories from college! What a place! What memories! The rest was left on the dance floor.
Now we just need to bring back the Sully's shuttle bus :)
