Tydee Dydee Diaper Service was founded by Leander (Andy) Schlickman in 1940. Wanting to go into business for himself, he moved his family from Dubuque, IA to Rockford, IL to start a diaper business. The business was located at 626 N. Madison Street. The business grew rapidly and soon diapers were being delivered all over Northern Illinois, Iowa, and Madison, WI. It was a true family business with multiple family members working for it. Sadly, the rise in popularity of disposable diapers caused Tydee Dydee to got out of business in 1997.
