Westland Mall in Columbus, Ohio, opened in February 1969 as an open-air shopping center anchored by Sears, JCPenney, Lazarus, and Woolworth. In 1982, it was enclosed, becoming one of the city's first indoor malls. By 2012, most of the mall had closed, with Sears being the last remaining tenant until its closure in 2017.
