This was a Wisconsin based airline that was founded in the 1940s as Wisconsin Central Airlines. The airline was based in Madison for about five years, before moving to the Twin Cities and changing to North Central Airlines as it expanded its routes around the Midwest. The airline was well known for its Herman the Duck logo/mascot. North Central eventually became Republic Airlines and then was absorbed into Northwest Orient.
